PBSIS Cubs Den

Here at School No. 8, we pride ourselves on our students’ dedication to the PBSIS Principles, which encourage students to make better choices in a PAWS-itive way!

A new initiative started by our PBSIS Committee, “The Cubs Den” is a game room established to give students who exemplify our PBSIS Principles (politeness, respectfulness, responsibility, and safety) a reward for making excellent choices throughout the month.

We All Shine

“We All Shine” is the student recognition system School #8 uses monthly to acknowledge how unique and special each student is. Teachers write words of praise for two students each month that are picked to be the “We All Shine” students. Each Grade level organizes a special ceremony to read aloud what each teacher wrote about the chosen students for that grade level to hear. Certificates, pencils, and trophies are given out during the ceremony and ice pops are provided to those students during lunch! Students look forward to this monthly celebration as it has been a wonderful addition to the School Climate of School #8.
