School No. 8

Principal Michelle Rodriguez

School Eight considers itself an environment for learning – not only in terms of academics, but also in terms of a child’s social development within their community.  School Eight’s staff members pride themselves on their instruction aligned to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and on the intense engagement and stimulation of their students daily.  School Eight is a true “community school,” where partnerships with parents and community leaders and a positive atmosphere are fostered.  A well-rounded education truly begins at School Eight.

We firmly believe that establishing a strong educational foundation builds on forming robust partnerships with parents and the community.  Our Language Arts program prioritizes differentiation, particularly in Grades K-5, where we utilize the “Collaborative Classroom” curriculum.  In today’s increasingly math-centric world, School Eight has embraced the “Into Math” curriculum, connecting mathematical concepts to real-world applications.  Our approach to Science at School Eight is hands-on, with students and teachers delving into scientific concepts by exploring the materials in the FOSS kits.  Social Studies encompasses the study of Civics, Economic Literacy, and World Geography.  Additionally, we ensure that all students have practical and authentic opportunities to leverage technology, a commitment that has earned us the distinction of being an Apple Distinguished School.

Our website offers important information for both you and your child.  Please also be sure to follow us on our social media accounts on both Twitter @Sch8IsGr8 and Facebook @LindenPublicSchools.School8

Thank you for always supporting and encouraging all of our students and staff! It is truly appreciated.
