“I am pleased to announce the creation of School Four’s “Care Closet”. Through the generosity and support of several local donors, including Columbia Bank, we are able to provide resources for our students to ensure a successful school day and allow them to be more focused. The Care Closet will offer school supplies, personal-care and food items for ANY student who may need them.
Personal hygiene items include deodorant, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, chap sticks, feminine products, soap and hair accessories. The closet also has clothing items such as t-shirts, socks and underwear. Non-perishable food items are accessible for students who come to school in need of a snack.
It is my belief that the establishment of the “Care Closet” will enhance the sense of trust and community that we strive for at School Four. We want students to feel more confident and focus on learning, rather than on what they may be lacking. “
