To help celebrate Linden Public Schools’ “Home Again 2021” event to kick off a new school year, two special guests sent their best wishes to faculty and staff for a great 2021-22.
U.S. Sen. Cory Booker sent a letter to Superintendent Dr. Marnie Hazelton to share with the staff. “After a year disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic may the start of this school year be filled with new beginnings, excitement, and a return to a sense of normalcy,” Sen. Booker wrote.
New Jersey Department of Education Acting Commissioner Angelica Allen-McMillan sent a video message recorded specifically for Linden Public Schools staff.
“The resiliency exemplified by Linden Public Schools employees in the continual pursuit of education equity will undoubtedly maximize the potential of every Linden school student,” she said. “And I would like to express my gratitude to the Linden community for the resolute focus on excellence in education.”
